School readiness assessment

This is a detailed assessment of your child’s intellectual abilities (IQ) as well as emotional maturity to determine their readiness to start Grade 0/R or GradeWhat does a full psycho-educational assessment of school readiness involve?

  1. An in-depth interview with the parent(s) to gain information on the child’s developmental history.
  2. The assessment takes approximately 4 – 5 hours depending on the child’s pace and progress on each task.
  3. A feedback session is scheduled one week from the day of assessment to discuss results and recommendations.
  4. A comprehensive written report will be provided.
Is your child ready for “big school”?School readiness means a child’s ability to cope with formal learning in a school environment on a multidimensional level. This includes your child’s intellectual, emotional, social and physical development.If a child is forced into school when they are ill-prepared or delayed developmentally it may result in:

  • Boredom
  • Resistance to learn
  • Tension
  • Low self esteem
  • Attention difficulties
This is recommended for children who are 5 to 6 years old.
